Prior to and during my post secondary education I dedicated many passionate years to the Theatre industry. Most often that was working as a Stage Manager or Assistant Stage Manager on amateur, semi professional, and professional productions.
It was always a special treat when those productions would give me a chance to work closely with children.
Of all the things I have done, working with children has been my true passion.
During University I studied Theatre Arts with a Primary Focus on Stage Management and a strong technical emphasis in Lighting and Set Design.
In the Summer of 2006 I graduated from the University of Calgary with a BFA in Technical Theatre.
After achieving my University Degree, I entered into a new chapter as an Executive Assistant with one of the World’s most recognized executive search firms.
After a few years of the corporate grind my creative juices had nearly evaporated.
It was then I took the opportunity to move on to a role as Facilities and Office Manager with a Globally recognized Stock Photography Corporation that had one of their offices in Kensington.
There, one of my favorite tasks was to assist in the planning and running of the children’s Christmas party each year.
